Today we did some more exploration of our pumpkin! We cut the top off of our one of pumpkins and felt the inside. Here are some of the things we heard...

It feels gooey - Paige
It feels soft - Maryam
It feels bumpy - Maliaka
It feels gross - Zoe
It feels yucky - Heeva
It feels tied up - Danica

It feels like Jello - Noah
It feels mushy inside - Eldin
It feels slippery - Grayson
It feels dirty - Ferdows
It feels mushy - Hayden
It feels really slippery - Deacon

We first counted by 2s, then by 10s - we counted 513 pumpkin seeds!

We finished our Maple Leaf Imprint art today. We mixed a bit of water to our arcylic paint to water it down. We tried our best to match the leaves we used to imprint.

Don't forget to read on Raz-Kids each day!

Thank you for dressing for the weather :) Students will only remain inside for recess when the weather is -20 or below.

Oh my goodness! What a surprise! I returned from my trip to notice something amazing with our 'green' pumpkin - it wasn't green anymore!!

because of this pumpkin, students were able to observe the last two stages of the pumpkin life cycle!

"The other pumpkins are more orange Mrs. Brar!"

I brought back beautiful maple leafs from Vancouver for the students to observe. We looked at all of the beautiful colours and started our leaf imprint art project.
