I brought plants into our classroom for students to take care of, explore, and watch grow over the school year. The plants only came in smaller pots, so we had to transplant them into bigger containers. Before we did this, we explored each plant using our senses.
Ask me what this tiny flower smelled like
We took the plants outside so we wouldn't make a mess in our classroom.
First, we put soil in our new pots
Then, we transplanted the plant from the smaller pot, to the larger pot
Last, we put soil around the rest of the plant
