What an amazing day! Our wonderful students did an outstanding job performing at the assembly this morning. Thank you to all the parents who were able to come out and watch our class share their learning. The wall story we read this morning, comes from our work with Miriam Trehearne, Literacy Specialist. All staff at Ken Taylor have been working closely with Miriam, to strengthen our literacy strategies to support our learners. Wall stories are a proven way to develop oral language and comprehension, while strengthening their reading and writing skills!
If you were not able to watch the performance, please feel free to contact me at sibrar@cbe.ab.ca to set up a time for you to come in and view it. Unfortunately due to some students not having third party clearance, I am unable to upload the video online.

Today we read a story called The Cheetah who Tried to do everything! The moral of the story was that No one is good at everything, but everyone is good at something!
We then shared as table groups, some of the things we are good at! We then wrote and drew about it in our visual journals - ask your child what they wrote or drew! What are some things they are good at? What are they still learning? What would they like to do?
We are continuing to practice for our assembly on Friday. Please join us at 8:30am! We are excited to showcase our learning 😄
Today in math we used our BRAND NEW GEO BOARDS to make 2D shapes! We were challenged to make the shapes we have learned about. Thanks to volunteers for helping us label all of our new math materials!
Our kind students worked together and helped one another make the shapes they needed to...
