Today we did a lot of partner work. We are learning how to play fair and take turns with a partner. We played a game called Race to 100! Ask me how it works!

We also did some snowman math. We looked at addition stories and picked them apart - here are the words we circled that were important and gave us information on how to solve the problem.

Can you write your own addition story at home?

With a new partner, we also shared our writing from yesterday. We talked read our work to each other and discussed how we could improve our writing based on our rubric. After meeting with our partner, we had a chance to action on the feedback, and make our writing even better! Ask your child what feedback they received and how it improved their writing.

Reminders
- Tomorrow is library book exchange!

Today we celebrated the 100th day of school! We started by working with ones, tens and hundreds blocks and a place value chart. The challenge was go show 100 from 99. Here are our hard students at work.

We did many other 100 themed activities - ask your child what they are!

We partnered up with our grade 2 buddies and had a chance to take a closer look at the snowflakes! We used black paper to catch the snowflakes, and magnifying glasses to help us take a closer look. Here are some pictures of us working together with our partners.

Please ask your child: what did you learn about snowflakes today? Here is a hint: how many branches do snowflakes have? Can you find two of the EXACT same snowflakes? Can snowflakes be similar?
